To keep things simple the only cameras that will be on during the show will be the production crew. The chat function will be enabled and we encourage all the high fives, hugs, and cheers in the scroll.

Vaudevillingham is also a fundraiser, in which all proceeds go toward supporting the Bellingham Circus Guild’s mission. Their mission is to assist and support the circus arts community of Whatcom County, to promote circus arts to the community-at-large, and to radically proliferate delight at every opportunity. This configuration allows aerialists to perform several twists, rolls, and various body positions requiring a great deal of strength and precision. In this course, students will learn standard conditioning movements that build a solid foundation for straps like skin the cats, nutcrackers, and meathooks. All of which are tailored to the student’s pace and level. The aerial straps discipline requires a good deal of strength and primary targets the shoulders and upper body. The course will help to increase your strength overall and serves as a great cross-training apparatus for any aerial discipline.

Tourettes Without Regrets is a variety show that takes place on the first Thursday of every month. Tickets are priced a $15 and the venue is 18+. I’ll be sure to post a direct ticket link once I track that information becomes available. There’s also a bit of additional information about the TWR variety show and its mission below:

It’s been called “one of the best underground performance art shows in America” (Huffington Post), but the humble roots of Tourettes Without Regrets started in 1998 in the small suburban city of Benicia. Created by a young 21 year old writer and performer named Jamie DeWolf, he says the show started “because I got in trouble for my writing all the time, even as a kid. I had to put a straight jacket on my tongue, but this was wasn’t free expression.” DeWolf says the genesis of the show was “out of revenge because I kept getting kicked out of every open mic night in my hometown for reading controversial material. The first time I went to a poetry slam, it was the only place that people wouldn’t kick me out; they would just give me low scores. I remember my first one, I read this really long, confessional piece and the judges just crucified me. One judge gave me a four and clarified that it was a “what for?”

Having never been to a variety show in his life, DeWolf created Tourettes as a showcase for all of the performance he wanted to see in one night, from poetry, freestyle rap, and comedy with shocking audience interactive contests, staged slapstick violence, dark humor and a celebration of genres that weren’t seen by the mainstream. He said, “I felt like there was no place for the mutants of art, and I wanted a clubhouse with all of them under one roof.” The first show was held in a warehouse in Benicia, and after it’s success, DeWolf started Tourettes as a monthly series in Vallejo, California, in 1999.
