I am honored to be a part of these exceptional artists of color and to hear their voices through their art. Please tune in for this free Coronation show to see some amazing acts and powerful pieces. From struggle and pain comes beauty, strength, grace, and inspiration. All donated proceeds to go directly to the artists or to support Black Lives Matter organizations

Coronation is coming next Saturday night! (From Davey Swinton | Instagram @daveyswinton_performer)
Up until now, Coronation has been inclusive of any LGBTQIA beings, with almost no editing or curating from me. I sent out a call for what was on LGBTQIA hearts to share that didn’t have messages of substance abuse or hate, and got to see what magic unfolded. This time, some serious magic is unfolding as I put a call out specifically to elevate black voices and I believe it will be our best show yet.
While I always invite many more people of color than whites to be in the show, I recognize that the accessibility of making videos can be unattainable for many, especially people of color. Especially black people. While we had a fine global mixture, there were leanings I wanted to shift. But what has been submitted is nothing short of professional, world-class talent, filmed professionally. And lots of it is circus, spoken word, drag. I’m floored. I had been feeling guilty about the privilege that circus can be, and a world of black, world-touring circus artists stepped up. If nothing else, this show gives me the distinct pleasure of talking with people around the world and the connection of sharing perspectives.
